Author Guidelines

The Latin American Business and Sustainability Review (LABSREVIEW) is committed to advancing knowledge and understanding in Latin American Business and Sustainability through rigorous peer review and dissemination of high-quality research. We welcome submissions from researchers worldwide, aiming to reflect diverse perspectives and innovative methodologies.

Authors can submit manuscripts in the following categories:

  • Original Research Articles: Empirical, theoretical, or methodological studies contributing significant new insights.
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive analyses of specific Latin American Business and Sustainability topics, synthesizing existing research.
  • Case Studies: In-depth examinations of individual, organizational, or societal cases.
  • Short Communications: Brief reports of data or research findings.
  • Letters to the Editor: Comments on articles published in LABSREVIEW or discussions of urgent issues.

Manuscript Preparation

Format and Style

  • Language: All manuscripts must be submitted in American English or Spanish.
  • Word Limit: Research articles should not exceed 8,000 words, including abstract, references, and appendices.
  • Abstract: Each manuscript should include an abstract of 150-200 words summarizing the main findings and contributions.
  • Keywords: Provide 4-6 keywords to help identify the core topics of the paper.
  • References: Follow the APA for citations and references.

Figures and Tables

  • Quality: High-resolution figures and tables should be submitted as separate files.
  • Captions: Each figure and table must include a concise caption describing the contents.

Ethical Guidelines

  • Originality: Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration by any other publication.
  • Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Human and Animal Rights: Authors must provide evidence of ethical approval for studies involving human or animal subjects.

Submission Process

  • Online Submission: Manuscripts should be submitted through our online submission system.
  • Cover Letter: A cover letter must accompany the manuscript, stating the novelty and importance of the work.

Double anonymized review

This journal uses double anonymized review, meaning the authors' identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa. To facilitate this, please include the following separately:

- Title page (with author details): This should include the title, author's names, affiliations, acknowledgments, and any Declaration of Interest statement, and a complete address for the corresponding author, including an e-mail address.
- Anonymized manuscript (no author details): The main body of the paper (including the references, figures, tables, and any acknowledgments) should not include any identifying information, such as the author's names or affiliations.

- One author has been designated as the corresponding author with contact details: E-mail address and Full postal address
